Mindfulness, Compassion, and Language

He shares insights from Jack Kornfield’s The Wise Heart on Compassion
Several weeks ago I had the privilege and pleasure of attending a session by Marcelline Brogli, MFT who did a masterful job sharing the work of Marshall Rosenberg’s teachings from his Center for Nonviolent Communication. Barstow gives a good extensive summary of Nonviolent Communication in his article.
For those in the San Diego area Marcelline does some introductory workshops plus some on-going Practice Groups. You can email her at mbrogli-at-earthlink-dot-net. Or check out her and other trainers of nonviolent communication programs through the San Diego NVC Group.

Mindfulness has been recommended to me - I would like to speak to anyone who has been to one of the seminars for some honest feedback.
Dee,
Go to the Center for Mindfulness and find some instructor close to you and speak with them and ask if you can talk to some of the students who have been through MBSR. Having been through the program, and being in a hospital setting, there were truly some miracles that took place when people finished the program. Definitely powerful to alter one’s perceptions. Being walked through the process little by little with exercises to practice weekly and homework to help develop awareness and taking moments to be present and to just observe oneself are of great help.
All the best in your journey toward being more mindful.
